Christmas!

posted in Uncategorized |

This year, we spent Christmas in Boise with my (Steph’s) side of the family. We had a great time! It was the first time ever that all my siblings and step-siblings were there together. We got to Boise around noon on the 23rd. That afternoon we got a picture with my mom, Lynn, my siblings, step-siblings, and the grandkids since we have never been able to do that before and who knows when we will have the opportunity again! We only had about 10 minutes to take the pictures between people getting off of work and other people heading off to work, but it was nice to finally get a picture with everyone in it!
The next day was Christmas Eve! The day was spent preparing yummy food for the next day, wrapping gifts, and playing. We went to Lynn’s parents house for a nice dinner. When we got back to my mom and Lynn’s house, Santa came!!!! He brought movie tickets for all of the big kids (ie me) and books and pjs for the grandkids. Brennan was so excited to see Santa–it was adorable. Brayden and Alexis were a little more unsure about the man with a big white beard for a few minutes, but by the time he left, they were so excited to have seen him! After Santa left, we all headed upstairs to watch the Polar Express. I was really impressed that the boys actually sat through an entire movie!
Christmas day was wonderful! It began as soon as the boys woke up, which luckily wasn’t until about 8:00! Nick and I took them downstairs to see what Santa had brought. They each got some treats in their stockings and a broom (which they had been asking for since Thanksgiving!). Santa even filled a little stocking for Emma full of a hat, some hair accessories and a bracelet. After Jeff and Brittney got to the house, we all opened presents. When we were done, it was time to head to Shauna and Steve’s house to see my dad! We opened more presents and played Super Mario Brothers on the Wii and then headed back to my mom and Lynn’s house for the most delicious Christmas dinner ever!!! The beef tenderloin and my mom’s infamous orange rolls were so delicious, my only regret was that Emma is taking up so much room, I couldn’t eat as much as I wanted to! Thank you everyone for such a wonderful Christmas. Love you all!
