The Toyn Family

I haven’t posted in awhile because things have been a little crazy around our house. A couple weeks ago we all got the flu (the Dr. said it was probably swine flu because we tested positive for influenza A). After we all got over the that, I was having really bad pain on one side of my back, which I am pretty sure was from kidney stones, even if the PA I saw attributed the pain to pregnancy pains. While I was in this excruciating pain, Nick had to fly to Washington DC on business, which was really hard, but I was lucky to have my grandma come up and help me with things.
Well, that’s the update on all of the not-so-fun things that have been happening around here, but amid these trials, we have had some good times too! While we were still sick with the flu, Nick got a free pass to Bear World. It was about to expire so we decided to go while we were sick so we didn’t waste it. We had a lot of fun. It’s amazing to see wildlife up close. They even having a petting zoo with deer and goats and the boys had a great time getting to pet all the animals (not the bears, of course).
While my grandma was here, the boys had their first dentist appointment. Brennan was a little nervous, but both of the boys did really well. The dentist says their teeth look great!
We had a fun afternoon last Saturday making “spider cookies”. The boys were really good about not just eating the cookies and candy and I think they turned out pretty cute!
Yesterday was the trick-or-treating at Melaleuca and our ward trunk-or-treat. The boys had such a good time this year. They can actually say “trick-or-treat” and they really like the idea of going around and getting candy from from people. They chose their elephant costumes, and the funniest part has to be that they have huge bottoms. They crack me up! We have had a great October and I can’t believe tomorrow is November already! Here come the Holidays! I can’t wait!
